Company Policies and Procedures

Initial Start Up Procedures

  • Home Consultation must take place before services can be performed.
  • Copies of Policies, Vet Release and Key Agreement must be signed
  • Dogs must have Rabies vaccinations with the exception of puppies

Initial Consultation Requirements

  • 2 working copies of your key are required for your consultation ( unless you use keypads )
  • Payment source such as check or cash for your first booking

Payment and Charges

  • We accept check or cash
  • Payment is due at the beginning of the week for reoccurring regular weekly clients.
  • Vacationing and Occasional clients – payment is due either at the time of booking or 1 week prior to services. We will inform you wish condition your visits fall under at the time of booking.
  • Cancellation amounts will be shown as a credit on your file to use towards future visits.
  • We reserve the right to stop or cease visits if 2 weeks have become past due in arrears until your account is paid in full.
  • There is a $10.00 plus HST
  • There is a $10.00 plus taxes holiday surcharge applied to each visit on the following holidays.
    • Family day, Easter, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day.
    1. There is a $10.00 plus taxes surcharge at for visits starting at 3pm to 9pm on Christmas eve and New Years eve.

Company Operations

  • We do not walk dogs off leash – safety is our #1 concern.
  • We do not let cats outside when under our care. – Safety is our #1 concern.
  • We cannot be held liable for the injury, illness, loss or death of any pets that are considered “outdoor” pets while in our care.
  • We require 24 hours to cancel an appointment but understand sometimes illness happens suddenly. Please call our office by 8am of the day you must cancel to avoid regular service charges. After 8am we cannot guarantee we will be able to inform your sitter in time. If we cannot, regular charges will apply.
  • We provide all clients with a 1 hour time frame in which we will arrive at their homes for care. We establish with with you at the time of consultation and or you have these options to choose your time frames while using our online booking system. We cannot guarantee we are able to get to a home at an exact or certain time due to conditions beyond our control. We always do our best to arrive as close to your desired time as possible.
  • Our staff are now discouraged in using their cell phones while on route due to the new laws and safety issues of cell phone use while driving. We encourage our staff to check messages ONLY in between visits and while parked. Because of this – it may take much longer to get information to our staff during the day, therefore we encourage all clients to provide is important details, cancellations and information that has changed a good 24 hours in advance or by the very latest – by 8am of the day of your schedule appointment.
